The cost of the project, known as "The dream island", by Danish architects Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), would have been around two billion US dollars. Bjarke Ingels and Julien De Smedt established the company PLOT in Copenhagen in January 2001, as a focus for their architectural practice.
